Our Mission.
A Cresset is a fire kept permanently alight at the heart of a community.
We are Peterborough’s community-rooted entertainment and creative venue, where live entertainment meets genuine community belonging, young people find a stage, and the city comes together across cultures and generations. A trading subsidiary of YMCA Trinity Group.
The Opportunity
We are entering an exciting new chapter. The Board of The Cresset Limited has recently assumed responsibility for the whole Cresset site and is strengthening its leadership capability to support the organisation’s long-term success. We are seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our Board and help shape the future of one of Peterborough’s most important community assets.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the city, its residents, and future generations.

• Peterborough’s future growth and regeneration
• Strategic partnerships and business leadership

• Investment, fundraising, and long-term partnership development
Most importantly, you will share our belief in the power of culture, creativity, and community to strengthen the city and improve lives.
We value diverse perspectives and encourage applications from people whose backgrounds reflect the communities we serve.
Time Commitment
The role requires approximately 6 to 8 days per year, including six board meetings, committee work, and preparation time. Meetings are held in Peterborough, typically in the morning.
This is a voluntary position, although reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
